    Training your Medium-Sized Dog

Using a pain-free no-shock bark collar, you and your dog can have a better relationship while working toward better behavior. The purpose of a no-shock bark collar is to gently remind your dog to change or stop unwanted behaviors, not to shock them into fear. Pet Pawsabilities™ medium no-shock collars use mild vibration and tone, never hurtful shocks, to humanely assist in training your medium-size dog.

When it comes to training, the right no-shock bark collar is only the first step. Here are some more tips to help:

    Positive Reinforcement Training

Positive reinforcement is all about encouraging and rewarding good behaviors! When your dog displays good behavior, like not barking when the mail carrier arrives, reward your pup verbally and/or with a treat. Your dog will learn which behaviors you like—or those that come with praise—and will be encouraged to repeat those behaviors.

How to Use Positive Reinforcement Training

Timing is everything when it comes to positive reinforcement training! As soon as you observe good behavior, give praise or a treat to your dog. Waiting too long may reward your dog for a different behavior, confusing both of you! When using treats as positive reinforcement, choose a high-reward treat only used for training. A special treat for good behaviors will result in the most encouragement for your pup!

    Actually works

I had very little hope this collar would actually work but it does!! You obviously have to do some training with it, it’s not magic. But it works!! They still let off an initial bark when alerted, but then stop. No more excessive barking!

    Barking Control collar

Absolutely love it. I had a shock collar before and it traumatized my dog, could not use it. This collar has stopped almost all barking and no pain, just a beep. It hasn't even gotten past the 3 beeps to the vibration, and he is a avid barker. Highly recommend.

    Life saver!

    Reduced my West Highland terrier’s barking by a solid 80% - 90%.

    Has really limited the barking

My Great Pyrenees mix has a very loud bark and his instincts tell him everything needs to be scared away by it to protect us (his flock)...birds, squirrels, airplanes flying overhead. This collar is really helping to curb this habit to a more reasonable level.
